21 weeks
2 Comments- Weighty Issues: 122 this week so still right on track and actually on the low healthy weight gain range for where I'm at. Still need to begin workouts, which I am thinking of tying into my plans for Lent this year.
- Stretch Marks: No new ones, I notice some of the ones on my hips from puberty again but thats okay.
- Sleep: Not any better but not worse. Had the most horrible charley horse early yesterday morning. I might have cried a little but hey it was not expected pain and it woke me up.
- Best Moment this week: Baby has been kicking like crazy and I think I can feel it from the outside too. Hoping Patrick gets to feel it this week! Also got some more basic clothes for baby :)
- Movement: Yup, multiple times a day now
- Food Commentary: A bit of heart burn here and there. Its been really hard to eat anything healthy other than side salads. Not sure why, I was on a health kick a week ago... Haven't thrown up in weeks now so thats nice.
- Belly Button In or Out: Flat/stretched
- What I miss: Liking vegetables, I used to eat green beans weekly but they aren't as appealing as a burger and fries lately
- What I'm looking forward to: Still waiting on health insurance stuff, they requested more paperwork so I'm working on getting those gathered to mail to them.
- Weekly Wisdom: My friend Rachelle tweeted this yesterday, "It's not a goal if you aren't prepared to give it your all." I am working on figuring lots of things out before baby is born.
- Weekly WTH: Nothing crazy other than the evil charley horse
- Nesting: Really want to start working on nursery but must find new apartment first :(
20 weeks
2 CommentsHow far along: 20 weeks
Weighty Issues: Still right on track but I am definitely losing muscle. I must be diligent and start working out.. I already have a dvd to do and everything! No excuses!
Sleep: Has been downright horrible! Issues falling asleep, issues staying asleep, issues... plus charley horse and weird dreams while sleeping, ugh!
Best Moment this week: Best and worst is knowing I'm half done. I am loving being pregnant but I'm sure I will love it when baby is here. I've hoped and dreamed of being a mother since I was a little girl. Also had a great convo with one of my regular customers at work she was so encouraging, she had her son 2 months ago and had a rough time through her pregnancy and birth/healing after but was so positive about the whole situation and has this immense joy about just being a mother. Hubs and I went through biblical baby names lists, it was hilarious. p.s. baby names are hard to choose.
Food Commentary: No more cravings, I miss them. Well except for one....
steak
!!! I love me some meat. I could never be a vegetarian or vegan. I have a hunger for meat and cheese way too often.
Maternity Clothes: Almost given up on my pre-prego jeans they just feel weird but I was already a lover of tunic style tops so almost all my pre-prego shirts are wearable.
Belly Button In or Out: Flat, its kinda cool.
What I miss: Other than my 1st trimester cravings. Warm weather-is desperately missed I feel so cold lately, I swear its a more intense coldness.
What I'm looking forward to: Still waiting on my insurance stuff to come through so no gender scan yet.. I really feel like I'm missing out not knowing what baby is.. Originally, I had the feeling that it was a boy but now I'm unsure. Registering is basically done, I personally don't do it in stores because I always feel awkward and I like to research while making my choices. Thankfully I chose all unisex stuff anyways because I want to be able use it for future babies.
Weekly Wisdom: Do what I want, sometimes you just have to sleep in cause you can.
Weekly WTH: I have been a crying machine the past couple of weeks.. a little sensitive lol.
Nesting: Haven't bought anything at work in a week! This is a huge accomplishment, sadly.
Milestones: Baby was a busy-body this week in the belly :) love it!
p.s. belly pics to come soon, I promise
19 weeks
CommentHow far along: 19 weeks 2 days, so surprised that I am almost half-way done. At this point I feel like I could stay pregnant forever but we'll see how long that feeling lasts.
Weighty Issues: Now at 120 woot woot! Definitely the only time I've been so excited about weight gain. Total weight gain= 6 lbs (including the 2 I gained back) I am right on track with my gaining yay!
Sleep: Extra tired this week, so I've been trying to sleep more.
Best Moment This Week: I've been a little down this week but was brightened by the package I got of a couple things I ordered for baby including: baby's first bottle (so daddy can feed baby too, I plan on breastfeeding)
Lifefactory Glass Baby Bottle with Silicone Sleeve, Spring Green, 4 Ounce
and baby's first cloth diaper (we want to try doing a combo of disposable and cloth diapers since you can save a lot)
bumGenius One-Size Cloth Diaper 4.0 - Grasshopper - Hook & Loop
also got a couple books recommended to me on natural birthing
Husband-Coached Childbirth (Fifth Edition): The Bradley Method of Natural Childbirth
Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way: Revised Edition
excited to start reading those in addition to the million other pregnancy books I'm reading :)
Food Commentary: Less cravings surprisingly! I kinda miss them. A lot of foods sound boring to me. Sometimes its hard for me to intentionally eat, other times I'm starving. Hard to explain...
Maternity Clothes: Bought more maternity tops but desperately in need of more bottoms. Pre-prego jeans feel awkward and uncomfortable but it seems nowhere can I find my size in store. Also got these amazing and cheap open wrap knit things for $6 each at Old Navy in 3 different colors. Old Navy also had a maternity and baby sale going on at the same time and I got this for baby and a couple other items.
Belly Button In or Out: Almost flat. Thankfully I don't think I have enough belly button for it to pop out much.
What I miss: Energy, the little peanut must be growing extra this week.
What I'm looking forward to: Still waiting on finding out the sex of our baby. We have been having issues with my insurance which should be worked out very soon. Can't wait to plan the nursery, My aunt and I might conspire on sewing and quilting bedding for babers but we shall see cause there are a few sets I already love but we might be able to replicate them some how. Also can't wait to think more seriously about names for baby once we find out its sex.
Weekly Wisdom: Make time for myself to relax. I called in sick yesterday, it was needed I was so worn out from this week physically and emotionally for unknown reasons.
Nesting: The above mentioned purchases... plus I'm sure more. Its addicting and uh I work in a baby store, I usually only buy things that are under $5-7 dollars though. Sorry to my friends that like buying baby clothes as gifts, this is probably the last thing baby needs lol. Sadly since Borders is closing in our town I got a few baby books on super sale this week, including this one for $1
Milestones: Baby is the size of a mango in length!
His & Hers: Diaper Bags
CommentSo I then had to search again for the right diaper bag. His was a piece a cake and I found it months ago. Part manly, part very useful. I knew I really liked how thought out the design of Skip Hop bags are and their durability and price.
