Today I am 12 weeks and I wanted to start doing a weekly survey on my progress. Some doctors say 12 weeks is the end of the 1st trimester and some say 13 weeks, I'm gonna go with 12 because I feel different now.
Baby at 12 weeks
Baby is now the size of a plum!
The baby is shifting into the growth and maturation stage. After weeks in the critical development stage, almost all of his systems are fully formed.
*What week are you in?

*What week are you in?
12 weeks, 28 more to go!
*Have you had an ultrasound?
at 9 weeks, to determine my due date
*Do you know the gender of your baby? If so, what?
nope, not yet
*Do you have a name picked out? What?
we have a few ideas for boy and girl names
*Is the child being named after someone?
baby boy's middle name will be Lee just like Patricks and his dads; baby girl's middle name will be Marie like mine and my moms.
*Who is going to be with you during delivery?
My husband and mom
*Natural or medicated childbirth?
Going to attempt fully natural. I figure since my mom did it I can. Plus I want to connect better with my child, lots of drugs such as pitocin can alter the euphoria you get from birth.
*How are you feeling right about now?
Sooooo much better, weeks 6-10 were rough but just more annoying really. I had morning sickness about 1-2 times a week but what they don't tell you is that you have to eat all the time to try to help it and I couldn't really eat anything healthy, things fried for some reason went down much easier. One of the things that made me feel better about morning sickness, is that it is a sign that your pregnancy is going normally for the most part and that having that symptom actually lowers the chance of miscarriage.
*What was the first thing you bought for baby?
little booties
*Do you feel you are ready to have a baby?
Definitely, I feel like I have been preparing for this my whole life. Obviously it will be a drastic change to our lives but were such go with the flow homebodies I don't think too much will change in our routine.. except sleep :( something precious to Patrick and I.
*Are you excited or scared about delivery?
Both! Mostly excited! Our hospital has some of the lowest c-section rates in northern california and most babies are delivered by midwives :)
*Any food cravings?
steak, fries, popcorn, cheetos, berries, potstickers, pineapple
*Anything you loved before that you absolutely cannot eat anymore?
smoothies and salad I could not eat for a while but probably fine now
